Wishing Stone Farm is seeking help this season for several positions. As a member of a small farm crew in beautiful Little Compton, you might be most interested in the farming operations of the greenhouses, fields and pack house. Maybe you would rather turn some of that delicious produce into treats in our commercial kitchen? There is also room for helping at our markets if that is more your style? We have openings in all areas and being a small farm allows everyone the chance to get to know each other and learn a bit about all the areas of our farm. Pay is based on experience and ability to learn quickly.

Keep a positive attitude
Be trustworthy and hardworking with attention to detail
Have good communication skills
Able to lift 40-50 lbs and stay on your feet most of the day
Move quickly and complete tasks efficiently without distraction
Be available mid May through October (some flexibility possible)
*FIELD CREW:
Be willing to work in all kinds of weather
Safety conscience of machinery and equipment
Projects include: Greenhouse work (pruning, weeding, harvesting)
Field work (planting, weeding, harvesting, sometimes by hand, sometimes on machinery)
Pack House (washing and bunching produce, packing wholesale orders, sorting produce for markets)
Organizing and cleaning around the farm
*KITCHEN CREW:
Love of good food helps!
Interest in or knowledge of Commercial kitchen organization and food safety
Assisting in preparation and packaging of recipes for our retail markets
Being able to follow direction carefully and efficiently
Cleanliness critical
Working at least one week-end day, 2 even better!
Heat tolerant helpful
*MARKET CREW:
Markets are Wed. Sat. & Sun. ( hopefully you could work at least 2 x 8 hour day, 9-5:30)
Need to be reliable each week
Involves re-stocking, sorting and arranging produce for pleasing appearance and attention to detail
Cashiering with focus and accuracy
Excited about local produce
