Information regarding our Winter CSA is available here .
Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a partnership between a consumer and a farmer. A CSA member will buy a "share" of the coming season's harvest before it actually arrives. This helps farmers to invest in fertilizer, seeds, labor, tractor/truck maintenance and other unforeseen expenses. All of these things must be in place long before you see any produce at the markets. The CSA program helps the farm financially when farmers need it most.
We have simplified our CSA program over the years to fit our members' busy lifestyles. CSA members receive a debit card at the beginning of each season that can be spent any way they like, selecting only the products and portions they want. Members who sign up early receive a 10% bonus to their share and all members benefit from weekly specials and the flexibility to shop at any of our markets.
You may also use your debit card to purchase products that we make in our commercial kitchen such as salsa, pickles, pestos, dips, soups and breads. We also offer our free range chicken eggs and our local honey. The markets at the home farm offer some off farm produce that we do not grow like apples and grass fed meats.
In the spirit of building community through agriculture, our CSA members are the heart of our farm. Their continued support has bolstered our efforts and morale through the years and we are very grateful for our wonderful CSA members
Our main production season starts in June and ends in October. Each month is characterized by distinct seasonal variations. We start off slowly with mostly greenhouse vegetables and root crops in June. By mid-July our field grown production will increase substantially and peak during the months of August through October
